Socires


SOCIRES is a European project that aims to “develop a sense of responsibility, awareness and digital knowledge in new generations”. In other words what we want to promote is the creation/development of modern values (especially global and digital) and critical thinking values intended to optimise the ability to use technological and collection/selection tools by young people, among thousands of information that are published daily on the web.

The value heritage of young people in Giudicarie

The research work intends to look into the value heritage of young people in Giudicarie. The set of values and principles is to examine through a series of quantitative and qualitative tools, with reference to a segment of the young public, the so-called Gen Z.

In collaboration with Nicola Sardo, artist and expert of narrative theater, the Foundation proposed the realisation of a laboratory based on the history of Lorenzo Guetti (1847-1898) through the disassembling and reassembling of words and images of the graphic novel.

This project explored the possible innovations connected to the business management of the public goods through innovative forms of social enterprises (as for example the community cooperatives).

Young people in action: Between cooperative enterprises and local communities

This project is built around the concept to be able to offer to the young people the opportunity to understand what cooperation is and how they can be leaders in their own valley. The project was financed by the Platform of Contemporary Resistances inside the #BandoGenerazioni (generations’ announcement) and it took place between October and December 2019.

 
 
Campo Monastery's participatory process


The participatory process has the purpose to develop possibilities of reconversion in order to rethink the former monastery Franciscan in Campo Lomaso (Trento), which was a moral, spiritual and cultural centre in the past.
Once the process is over, the results will represent a shared and plural basis that will help to direct the choices on the future of the monastery.

The goal of the project is to make high-value documents that promote don Lorenzo Guetti’s modernity of thought accessible for the wider public. The documents relating directly to don Guetti or more generally to the period when the first cooperatives in Trentino were born , have therefore been surveyed, registered and
digitalised.


 
 
Educational activity in schools




Researchers with students and teachers retraced the living conditions of Trentino in the mid-nineteenth century, the history of Trentino's early cooperation and the main stages of Guetti's life and work.
The Foundation has entrusted Nicola Sordo with the task of developing an innovative and participatory educational format.



 
 
 
Families in action/on the field, seeds of a community


The project plans
to activate an educational program based on the principle of self help.

By practicing mutuality we aim to simplify the exploration of parental +figures, increasing the parents’ capacity
to establish real relationships with their own children.

 
 
“La coopera”: the cooperation in memory of the past


The project which was promoted in partnership with the Young Cooperators’ Association of Trentino and the Women in Cooperation Association has the purpose to collect fifteen testimonies of people who significantly contributed to the development of the cooperative movement in Trentino.

La Coopera




This spin off of the project “La Coopera” was realised by 15 young people of the Institute of higher education Lorenzo Guetti in Tione.
A training course on storytelling and video editing was organised. The students were divided into 3 groups and they interviewed a relative who worked in the field of cooperation in Trentino.

 
 
In the mirror of time: the migrations of yesterday and today

The Foundation in collaboration with don Lorenzo Guetti yesterday today and tomorrow association, the intercommunal library of Giudicarie Esteriori and the library of Tione,
wanted to attract interest in the Giudicarie community on the issue of
migrations through this project.

 
 
 
Women in the cooperative movement in Judicaria

Starting from a rich documentation that is preserved at the historical archive of the Cassa Rurale in Quadra, it was decided to create a research design with the aim to clarify the female role in the cooperation of Giudicarie between the end of the nineteenth century and today’s years with particular attention to the credit sector.

 
 
Parents at work



The project involved 12 cooperatives, leading them to discuss and analyse the innovation of management activities of parenting. The Foundation acted as an intermediary with the cooperatives that worked on the territory and made them aware of the project’s contents.


 
 
Alternance between school and work


Different students of the Prati high school in Trento and of the Guetti high school in Tione visited the places of cooperation in Giudicarie Esteriori and took part, together with some researchers, in the research phases of Guetti’s documents in the various parish, municipal, private, provincial and state archives.


 
 
The house of cooperation


The exhibition, prepared by the association “Don Lorenzo Guetti: yesterday, today and tomorrow”, wants not only to make visitors retrace a journey through time to discover the origin of cooperation in Trentino, but also to depict the current arrangement of the cooperative movement of Trentino, showing the possible future developments.
